HOUSE AT POOH CORNER Sells Out All Six Performances

"For the first time ever in my 17 years as the Theatricks Director, a Theatricks production has sold out every performance. We have been very close in the past, but this is the first time that it has succeeded," states Theatricks Director Webster Crocker.

Theatricks 2006-2007 season has been a season of record-breakers: the most Theatricks season memberships; the most money made from the gate of a production; the most volunteers helping out in a single season; the most students enrolled in a Theatricks workshop session; the most expensive production; the most sponsors for one production; and the most advertising. All of these record-breakers have been achieved through the support and efforts of the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to make Theatricks the success that it is.

As Theatricks gets ready for the new 2007-2008 season, the bar has been set very high, but those same dedicated volunteers are ready to step up to make sure that the new expectations are achieved and maybe even surpassed. If you would like to take part in the new season, contact Theatricks Director Webster Crocker at (903) 893-8525 or

Supporting Cast Members Help With THE HOUSE AT POOH CORNER

Supporting cast members

Earning points and learning various aspects about the theatre process has been the goal of Theatricks Director Webster Crocker when he created the teen youth theatre group, the Supporting Cast. Several have stepped up to accept this valuable opportunity.

The Supporting Cast has recognized four members as 'Master Thespians' this year for accomplishing the theatre tasks performed and points earned for each task. The four members are Samantha Crocker, Elise Hebert, Kaylea Daubenspeck, and Elizabeth McIntyre.

Many of these same members continue to assist the Theatricks program, but many others are fervently working toward the same goal by helping with the production, THE HOUSE AT POOH CORNER. Zeke Dolezalek was the head costumer, and also assisted with make-up and lighting and sound. Amber Clay was the properties chairman who also helped with costumes, loft cleanup and make-up. Jordan Hancock was the make-up chairman who helped with costumes. Others assisting were Kaylea Daubenspeck on videoing the production and make-up; Autumn Winegarden with her mother Susan helping with props, costumes, set construction, and cleaning costume loft; Daniel Hebert was chairman of house and hospitality; Drew Crocker was in charge of Star Grams and concessions; and many others who helped usher and assisted with makeup.

The Supporting Cast is for students grades 6th to 12th that have the desire to learn about theatre. The Supporting Cast meets the second Thursday of every month at the Honey McGee Playhouse at 6 p.m. The Supporting Cast is now very busy with preparations for the 2007-2008 Theatricks season opener THE WIZARD OF OZ. They will be working together with the Sherman Parks and Recreation Department on Friday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. for the 'Movie in the Park' held at Fairview Park. The movie will be THE WIZARD OF OZ with the Supporting Cast face painting and playing a movie trivia game called 'Follow the Yellow Brick Road.'
