Workshops

Theatricks offers 3 sessions of theatre workshops in the fall, spring, and summer. These workshops are especially designed to introduce children to theatre arts by helping them to improve skills in concentration, observation, imagination, creativity, and body movement. Each class ends with a small production on the last day of class. The production will display techniques learned.

Classes are divided by age groups and meet for an hour twice a week for a month in the fall and spring. Summer workshops follow a different schedule.

Tuition is $70.00 per child if pre-registered before the 1st day of class--$80.00 on the day of class. Scholarships (to pay half the tuition cost) are available and made possible by the Elizabeth Halsell Russell Scholarship Fund. THEATRICKS SUMMER MUSICAL WORKSHOP CLASSES ARE NOW COMPLETELY FULL--NO MORE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE TAKEN UNLESS WE HAVE CANCELATIONS!

This summer Theatricks is having a TARZAN Musical Theatre Workshop! Your child will learn to sing, dance, and act music and scenes from Disney's musical TARZAN. This 3 hour a day for one week workshop will be a lot of fun, and will let one experience the process of putting on a musical.

On Friday, July 26 at 2 p.m., all of the students involved in the workshop will be performing on the Finley Stage selected pieces from TARZAN for invited parents and friends. The tuition is $70 per child, and scholarships are available to pay half the tuition by the Elizabeth Halsell Russell Scholarship Fund.

The students will be divided into age groupings: 1st through 3rd grade, 4th through 6th grade, and 7th through 12th grade. Grade levels are based upon those in the fall 2013 school year. The class groups will rotate from an hour of each: singing to dance/movement to acting. (Class sizes will be limited, so enroll early!)
