There are five ways to keep the curtain coming up at SCP.
1. Season Contributor
Individuals, families or businesses may contribute financial gifts, on a one-time or annual basis, which are recognized as follows:
Producer $3,000
Angel $1,000
Benefactor $500
Donor $250
Sponsor $100
Patron $50
Contributor $25
Friend $10
These tax deductible gifts support quality theatre and help keep ticket prices low. Contributors making gifts during the annual season membership drive are listed in the Mainstage and Theatricks programs throughout the season.
2. Season or Show Underwriting
You may choose to underwrite certain expenses for the entire season or for one production for Mainstage, Theatricks, or special events. Such gifts may be acknowledged in advance advertising, on the marquee and in the playbill, or may remain anonymous, if desired.
3. SCP Endowment
Trust Gifts of cash, property, or securities, as well as through planned giving such as wills, life insurance, trusts. etc., may be gifted to the SCP permanent endowment on your behalf, as memorials, or in honor of another person or group. This fund is invested and administered in perpetuity by a board of five trustees, with the income directed to special needs of the theatre beyond the annual operating budget.
4. Matching Gifts
You may be able to double your gift. A number of companies have programs whereby they will match a gift made by their employees to certain non-profit organizations such as SCP. In most instances, information about such programs is available through the human resources department of your employer. Patrons wishing to double their gift can obtain the necessary forms from their company and provide these to the managing director.
5. Time
SCP is truly a community theatre. You can play an important part in the theatre by donating the gift of your time in activities such as ushering, box office, set building, gathering props and other production tasks, as well as auditioning for acting roles.
